Absolutely one of my favorite sushi places in the valley. Everything is clean, service is nice and quick, food is delicious. The OMG roll (the one that comes out on fire) is delicious and our family favorite. It has the perfect toasty flavor on the outside. We've even ordered this roll and packed it home for leftovers and ate it! The spider roll is also so crunchy and so fresh. Don't be turned away by the purple rice! It's a unique but it doesn't change the flavor of the sushi in my opinion. The yellowtail carpaccio is also delicious - we like to save the sauce and dip our rolls in there. The nigiri usually comes with fresh wasabi (not the colored horseradish paste) so if you're not a fan, I recommend asking them to take it off. Bathroom is one stall but it's also plenty big for anyone who has ADA needs!

Love kodo! Fantastic sushi and great staff. I love popping in for the lunch Udon+Chirashi combo! And they now have a game show battle room next door! So cool! Definitely a fantastic duo for a day or night out!

We as a family have been going to kodo for almost 2 years now and we love it, it is our go too place to eat sushi as they have never disappointed! We love kodo so much as we went there all the time even during Covid! During Covid, they absolutely crushed it and it was amazing to be able to have that same quality at our home! We drive around 30 minute to kodo and it is totally worth it! There are a few places closer to us but nothing compares! Thank you kodo for such an amazing experience for so long!

First time here and saw the great reviews on help. Very quiet strip mall area on a Friday night but this place was definitely booming as seen by people gathering inside and outside waiting. The sushi was some of the best I've had here in AZ at a pretty good price as well. The sashimi actually comes as 8 pieces each. The omg roll was warm and delicious, the Phoenix roll was the same as well. We had the mio sparking sake which honestly paired well with everything. Shout out to Krysti who was a wonderful and attentive waitress! Will definitely be back again!

Went there again and had 5 rolls: Rainbow, Spider, OMG, H3, and Blue Ocean. This time we felt like the Spider roll was underwhelming, but all rolls were still amazing! We loved the H3, Blue Ocean, OMG, and Rainbow rolls in that order. Service was very quick and friendly.

A surprise finding for delicious sushi rolls. Came here for dinner. Didn't have to wait long for a table. We got some spicy edamame and a few rolls. The OMG roll was baked and delicious but my favorite of the night was the salmon lover roll. The ingredients and flavors were so light and refreshing. Would definitely go for that roll again! The place was busy but overly noisy, the staff sas efficient and friendly.

This is some of the best sushi I have ever had! Went here for date night and it was fantastic! First time dining here and the vibe is chill and romantic. The servers all work together to take care of the tables so you won't have just one server helping you. All of them were attentive and helpful. For appetizers we got the gyoza and veggie tempura. The gyoza were very good but the tempura was okay. The best appetizer we got was the sexy crab. It was crab and veggies cut into strips and wrapped in seaweed. They had spicy ponzu sauce little drizzled on them and they were the perfect starter. Then for our entrees my boyfriend had the Finding Nemo. It was 10 pieces! The spicy Mayo was very strong but over all a good roll. I got the yellowtail.com and it was the most perfect dish for me! Yellowtail is my favorite and the dish came with four pieces of sashimi, four pieces of nigiri, and then four pieces of spicy yellow tail roll. Then they have fresh wasabi and this completed the dish. I have found my new favorite spot that is close by and I cannot wait to go back!

Love the Yelp wait list! Waited about 10 minutes after we checked in. The food came super fast. The dinner combos Were good value and portions were above average. The raw fish were fresh and tasty. I was disappointed they didn't have Hamachi Kama or Amaebi on a Friday evening. Beer was cold, sake was perfect with the dishes we ordered. Great spot for fresh sushi, date night whatever. Won't have to break the bank eating here!

Such a nice place for a quick lunch. We sat outside & it was a beautiful day outside (it's covered tho). I got 2 rolls which were both massive. The fish was super fresh & I like the sauces they put on it. They also have fresh wasabi available which is so unique. I love fresh wasabi. I think the chefs are Korean so it's not super Japanese authentic but it's good for rolls & lunch specials. The servers were attentive & checked in on us even thought we were outside. Not too expensive too!
